Walmart expanding drone delivery service in five new states

Walmart has recently expanded their quick drone service delivery to more markets.

This makes Walmart the first retailer to scale drone delivery across five states: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas.

This new expansion is a partnered company called WING.

Customers in Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Orlando and Tampa can sign up on Wing’s website to be notified when drone delivery becomes available.

A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer attempted to arrest a retail theft suspect outside a local store when the suspect jumped into a vehicle and accelerated, dragging the officer several feet along the pavement.

DA Krasner reveals new retail theft policy a year after announcing it would change

Over a year ago, District Attorney Larry Krasner announced that his retail theft policy would change.

"We need to have a policy that recognizes these profound differences in people where mercy is justified, and where incarceration is necessary," he said.

The change comes after he faced heavy scrutiny for his original policy, which stated to charge retail theft cases as summary offenses unless the value of the items stolen exceeded $500, or if the defendant had a long history of retail theft convictions.

Suspect walks out of Lowe’s pushing cart with $582 in stolen merchandise

A Leesburg woman was arrested on a warrant Wednesday for stealing $582 in merchandise from Lowe’s. 

The associate explained a pushout theft happened around 2:50 p.m.

Taylor had come into the store through the garden center with an empty shopping cart. A criminal history check revealed Taylor had five previous theft convictions.
